Linux mint, Ipod Classic 6th Gen fail
« on: July 12, 2022, 07:24:04 AM »
Hi.
I have the same problem as another user in that i only get so far with the Utility, I get as far as DFU mode detected while holding down Menu and Select, when I release them after a short pause I get Err DFU device not found. I have tried many times and been very careful with button pressing. Does anyone have any ideas that might help? I have attached a picture of the error message screen which I get.
Many thanks
Jon

You might miss permissions to access the DFU device directly. Have you tried running as root (or check for device files and their access permissions?)
