Welcome to the Rockbox Technical Forums!
I have an iPod with video 5.5. I have the iflash and mSata adapter and I’m attempting to install rock box with a 1 TB mSata ssd. I restore the iPod and I can install the RockBox 1.4 fine buy when I go to reboot it says it can’t find the partition. 1.5 cannot unlock the iPod and I have tried all the solutions and it’s still unable to install any thing on the ipod
After this I’m usually unable to do anything with the iPod I have to pull out that Seda Drive and reformat it manually. Then put it back into the iPod. I have not been able to get rockbox to run this time.
So I know this is possible because I’ve had a working player for years but I recently had to re-format the drive and I cannot remember what I did to solve my issue. I believe I downloaded a special installer that was forked, but now I cannot find the answer.
I am using the rock box installer utility 1.4 . When I try to install using the utility 1.5 I get this error:https://pastebin.com/C3G5jK8X
I haven't needed to use RBUtility since 1.4.1, so haven't run into the problems that people keep reporting. If it's now been fixed, will the fixed one get a new version number (i.e. 1.5.1) so one can just skip 1.5?
Incidentally, on the RBU page it says 1.5 has release date 2019-11-15, which surely can't be correct?
Does anyone think the new utility will solve my mSata problem?
