Safe program for converting 64 gb+ Micro SD to exFAT?

My Sansa Clip + only goes up to 32 gb but apparently can support larger cards provided they are exFAT. However going through Youtube and some forums I couldn't consistency on a program that would be safe and privacy friendly to download to do the process.

exFat is not supported by Rockbox.
You want to format with FAT32 !

For that you can use

Fat32Formatter https://www.heise.de/download/product/fat32formatter-50072
or
MiniTool Partition Wizard https://www.heise.de/download/product/minitool-partition-wizard-78907
