Play once

Oktan:
I used to use a Fiio X1 player. This one had a playback mode that would make the player stop the playback once it finished the selected track. After idling for a while it would shut down, which was a separate feature. Implementing this should be fairly simple but quite useful if you're listening to a podcast or something.

saratoga:
I think you can already do this by inserting into a new playlist.

gomezz:
Doesn't this do what you want?

Settings -> Playback Settings -> Repeat -> Off

That's needlessly obtuse however.

I'm not referring to just turning off repeat, I'm referring to having the player play a single track and then stopping.

Chronon:
Long press to enter the context menu >> Current Playlist >> Clear List & Play Next

This method seems quite clear to me.  Pros/cons of a playback method?  The current method achieves the "play once" outcome without any persistent changes to settings, which I think is cleaner.
