Ipod Nano 2nd gen stuck in usb keypad mode

I am new to Rockbox and need some help. I installed rockbox on a 2nd gen Ipod Nano and Rockbox boots up and goes straight to the USB Keypad Mode screen. I can't get to the menu to try and turn off the usb setting that I read about. I am not even sure if that's what I am supposed to do. How do I get out of the USB Keypad mode? I also connected the ipod to the computer again to try and format it back to apple but it Windows doesn't even see the ipod now.

I am testing this nano I have to see how Rockbox works before I get a device with bigger storage but I can't even get it to work. I also have a Sandisk Sport Go but I guess Rockbox doesn't work with it.
