Questions about using Ipod classic 7th Gen + Apple Universal dock + Apple Remote

At present, the devices I have are Ipod classic 7th Gen + Apple Universal dock (model: A1371) + Apple Remote (model: A1156, plastic and newer aluminum alloy two remote controls). The version of Rockbox is the latest version 3.15 I do n’t know how to control song play, pause and skip forwards and backwards with the remote in combination with Universal dock + Apple Remote. There are no specific steps in the related post

Sorry for not giving you more help or information.

The dock I'm using is model A1153 (EMC No 2085)

My iPod is is an ipod6g as identified from this post here:

I can't trust the model # on my case back as its been replaced loads of times and also has a skinit.com cover on it.

I'm also using the latest 3.15 build and it still works.

Is the remote control function related to the IPOD version or the dock version?
At present, the volume can be adjusted through two remote controllers, but the next or previous song cannot be adjusted.

The volume adjustment is made within the dock, not by controlling the iPod.
I have both the A1371 and the previous A1256 dock models. The A1256 controls the iPod just fine using Rockbox, but the A1371 does not. Something has changed in the way the dock communicates with the iPod between those two models.
