Sir,

if I was not on Rockbox I would not be posting here
the question means if i connect the unit being on Rockbox
the computer dos not recognise it

so each time I want to download music I need to switch to the Apple firmware first

Which iPod classic do you have?  What version of rockbox are you running?  What happens when you try to use Rockbox USB mode?

Classic last gen. modified with a I-Quad module and a long lasting battery

when connecting to a computer if the unit is in Rockbox mode nothing appears
the unit can be recharged but that's all

Did you set this to charge only?

https://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-ipod6g/rockbox-buildch8.html#x11-1630008.5.14

If you have a 6G you need to be running a recent development build with those flash adapters.

this is my version

Version: 88ecaf2b8c-221126

I do not see the ''USB  mode'',  the settings stop just before at: ''USB Keypad Mode''

I did not know about this USB mode setting but if it is not in ''general settings system'' where is it ?
