Rockbox on the iPod 6.5G with iFlash.xyz mSATA board
« on: November 23, 2020, 07:33:47 PM »
Just recently got rockbox installed on an ipod 6.5g, the thick 120GB model, with the iFlash mSATA adapter. Initially
I tried the Samsung MZ-MPC2560, but got "ATA Error -2147483542". It says it draws 1.5 amps (whoa), so I think
it's either the power draw or something about the protocol-- I'm curious to know why this drive didn't work when
another did. So I switched that drive for a lite-on LMH-256V2M, and after formatting the whole drive as fat32 with LBA
using aomei partition manager (gparted didn't work, no idea why not), rockbox works great! Thanks to everyone
involved in writing this software.
