Need some navigation help for I-river H320.
« on: October 17, 2020, 10:03:34 AM »
I don't use Rockbox a lot so I may be doing something stupid here but I'll explain the problem then what I'd like to be able to do and hopefully there's an easy solution.

When I'm playing a track from the While Playing Screen if I want to navigate to another album I can push the Navi button but that will only take me to the album folder I'm currently in if that was the last place I opened a file from. If I navigate around a bit and push 'now playing' to return to the track then push Navi in the future, now it just takes me to the root folder in the files list. It doesn't open up in the current album folder to let me select another track, I know I can use the Rec button to pull up my current playlist but that won't let me move out of the album folder to select another album, to do that I have to hit Navi, go to the root flies folder and go all the way through my folder list to get back to the artist I'm currently playing and choose another album.

It also sits in the root files folder indefinitely if I don't move out of it so if I want to return to the WPS I have to manually go to 'now playing' as it won't default back to WPS on it's own.

So what I'm looking for is to be able to come out of WPS and go into my current album folder in a way that lets me move to a different album or artist without going back to the root folder and going the long way. I'd also like the player to default back to WPS if I leave it for any length of time.

Is this possible through changing settings?

Assuming you're using the file browser: enable "File View / Follow Playlist".

Press Play to go to the WPS.

Not possible (well, unless you code it yourself :) ). Too much magic, and such a behaviour would be confusing for blind use / people. Just press Play.
