So when you boot your player, does it go directly into Rockbox, or do you need to select between Rockbox and Hiby Player (I think that's what its called in the menu)?
I'm just trying to understand exactly what is installed on your player.

Sorry, I didn't notice your reply went to a new page ;) so I didn't reply sooner.
When I boot my player it goes directly into Rockbox. I had installed the Native port method last week.
EDIT: OK I think I got it installed properly now. I downloaded the link to the latest native build here: https://download.rockbox.org/daily/erosqnative/rockbox-erosqnative.zip. If I use the latest daily build link instead then the install gives me that earlier error.
I confirmed I have the latest by going into the Rockbox 'System' menu and 'Rockbox info', and it says I got the April 2 2025 build.
However, some of the games have not been fixed. I still can't move around in the Space Invaders game. I can move in the Maze game though.

Ok, good to know. Glad we got that cleared up, and I'll take a look at the button mapping when I have some time.

I appreciate your helpfulness. BTW I also tried out Doom (wow!), and some of the buttons actually work, including going forward and changing weapons and firing. But there is no left/right movement which I think would be best suited with the scroll wheel.
InvictusMB:
On my H2 v1.6 Hosted installation both Duke Nukem and Quake crash the OS with a segfault. Doom works fine except for the right/left controls mentioned above.

Does anyone know of a good replacement for the Hifi Walker h2 screen protector? Mine is coming off. I see them on Amazon, but I don't trust them due to the reviews.

I've been eyeing the Surfans F20, specifically the V3.4 / hw4 version for the IPS display and proper support for USB C-to-C cable. I'd rather not support amazon if possible and it's apparently not available for shipping here from ali.
Does anyone know if sunfans.net is legit, and if they are selling the most recent revision?
(I tried searching around both the forums here and a fair bit of googling and couldn't find much, but if this has come up before and I missed it I apologise in advance.)

Hi all - I have a general question about the line out on the Hifi Walker H2
I bought one of these devices with the intention of putting Rockbox on it. However, whilst checking out the functionality before doing this, I hit an issue.
I can use the line out jack on the H2 and play audio into the aux input on an amplifier fine. but if I use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack cable to connect to the Aux input on my (old) car stereo ... I cannot get any output!
I have tried with three different cables. All three work with another DAP player. There seems to be some incompatibility between the H2's Line output and my Car Stereo Aux input!!
There does seem to be some detection of 'outputs in use' in the H2 stock firmware, but I have seen no mention of similar problems elsewhere. I am about to return this H2 but I wondered (a) if this has been heard of before, and (b) if so, is it something that the rockbox FW might change?
Thanks for any thoughts, Jon N
