FiiO M3K ----- NO SOUND

Greetings all.
After a year of using RB on M3K i suddenly have no sound.
It appears to be playing - levels etc are working
FiiO software plays fine.
Tried reinstalling a few times to no effect.
Any thoughts, suggestions, help, would be much appreciated.
I am baffled and sad - finding Fiio interface painfull to use & useless.

UPDATE - This problem seems to have sorted itself out.
I generally keep it at full volume as I play it through speakers mostly.
I found that one touch down on the volume brings it back to life.
Still baffled - but happier.
