Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety (64bit) and Virtual Box

Hi,

I downloaded the mirror to Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety (64bit) and I wish to compile my own custom build.
My only problem is I can't seem to get the Ubuntu VM to work with Virtual Box. It seems to be in the wrong extension.

Can anyone help me? Yes it's a noob question haha.

I'm assuming you unzipped it?  Could you explain in more detail what the problem was?
