Could I remap a power button on my Sansa Clip+?

Power button on my Sansa is getting really hard to press, and it takes me from 1 to 5 minuets to turn it on, I guess eventually it will break for good. So I wonder if there any way to remap it.

You can remap it in rockbox, but powering on (which happens before rockbox boots) will always need either the power button or to apply 5v to the USB power pin to physically energize the CPU.
