Clip Zip - Clock not working
« on: June 08, 2020, 06:28:08 AM »
Found my old Clip Zip in a box, booted it up and rockbox was still going - however I noticed the time was off (showing --:--). Tried to update it, and it didn't seem to work.

After a firmware update of both Sansa Clip Zip & Rockbox firmware, I can get it to display the time but it doesn't note that time is passing. I set it to 6:13pm 14 minutes ago, and it's still saying that, even after I restart.

Any idea what this could be? Sansa firmware appears to have no troubles. (I have removed and reinstalled Rockbox and nothing changes).

Did you do an upgrade?

maybe try renaming .rockbox on the device to .rockbox_old and copy a fresh install
