Clip Zip stuck when turned on, not recognized and won't charge?

<< < (2/3) > >>

saratoga:
I would leave it plugged in until the battery charges and then see if you can reboot into the Sandisk firmware.

lriemann:
I believe it's charging, but after I unplug it, it stays stuck with the display on until it shuts down due to low battery.
At this stage, the original firmware starts and shuts down due to low battery.

Is there some trick to shut down the stuck Rockbox?

I hope my description is making sense.

You can reboot by holding the power button.  Assuming the battery is charging (it may not be), you could then go into the Sandisk firmware and see if it can boot far enough to get your into USB mode.

lriemann:
Hi.

I left it plugged in overnight and the battery seems to have filled up.
It's now playing in the original firmware!

Should I just plug it in now and run the Rockbox installer?
Or do I do something else?
I just hope it's recognized by my PC.

saratoga:
Plug it in and check the file system for errors.
