Rockbox boot loader failed (6G Ipod classic 160GB)

I tried to install Rockbox on my 6G ipod classic with the RB utility but failed miserably and have seemingly made my ipod useless. I got as far as resetting the pod by holding down select and menu. Installation got to 99% but failed after numerous resets. Eventually I clicked 'abort'. The error messsage I got on the ipod is
"Rockbox boot loader
Version 1.0
Battery status ok: 4154mV
Loading Rockbox...
Error!
can't load rockbox.ipod:
file not found.
Entering USB mode...
Bootloader USB mode "
After that it said to hold down select and menu again to exit, which didn't work. Now its stuck uselessly on the rockbox boot loader screen.

Can anyone help with this? Can my pod come back from this brush with death?!

You likely have installed the bootloader, but not the firmware. Try putting the .rockbox folder on your ipod.
