iRiver H340 not recognised by Windows 10 PC

Hi all,
I've got an iRiver H340 with Rockbox installed. It works fine stand alone but when I connect it to my Windows 10 PC the player is not recognised and I get no error messages.
The iRiver device does not appear as a new drive letter in Windows explorer as I would expect it too.
Nothing new shows up in the device manager either. Nothing I change in Rockbox or the native iRiver UI settings makes any difference.
Any ideas what is the issue please? I recall that this worked fine on Windows 7

H300 series use hardware ATA-USB bridge. If there is change in handling in windows there is nothing we can do about it.

Win10 works fine for my H340 but I replaced the HDD with an SSD a few years ago.  Don't know if that makes any difference though.

Not sure if the original poster found a solution, but just in case they didn't and in case others are googling like I did and found this post I found an easy fix.

I had the same issue as the original post after installing rockbox on my iRiver. The device was no where to be found in the device manager of Windows 10 when pluggin in with USB cable. The iRiver would turn on fine. I fixed the issue by turning off the setting in rockbox that allowed the player to charge via USB when plugged in. This is a setting I remember I had issues with even before rockboxing the player. YEARS ago had to turn off the usb charging when pluggin into windows with the original non-rockbox firmware.
