ODROID-GO Advance

It runs Ubuntu. Does that mean an SDL port is possible? How much memory the SDL version need? If possible I will give it a try.

If it runs Ubuntu you can run the SDL app directly.

Thanks.  I have the original GO and plan on buying it when I comes out at the end of the month. It's not in their github. It does games so I'm hoping it has SDL installed. What could you do with an analog joy stick?

I think you should be able to map the joystick directions to rockbox buttons and use it like the joystick on mp3 players like the X5.

It looks like it has the up/down left/right and home buttons. It also has a button that you wiggle and it give numbers instead of on/off.  My first idea is variable slow to fast playback for skipping during something like a podcast.

I got the ODROID-GO Advance and the local "git clone" , configure and make went amazingly well compared to when I did the Raspberry Pi and pocketchip. It compiled with the stock g++ with no warnings or errors.

I'm having trouble remembering what files I need to install the ThinMOD_AntiAliased theme I like. I have a perl script to scale the wps to the screen size and most of it works fine.

This fails because of the ,2
# Repeat
%V(0,127,69,20,2)
%ac%?mm<|All|One|Rnd|A-B>

The doc says the says the 2 is an index to a font in the skin. ThinMod_AntiAliased has no skin sbs and cfg has - for sbs.  I wish I had the old raspberry pi or the pocket chip.

Where is it looking for the font?

Do you have 10-Artwiz-Snap.fnt in your "fonts" folder within .rockbox?

No. I finally saw this when I configured a debug build.
Unable to load font 2: '10-Artwiz-Snap.fnt
How you figured it out is a mystery, to me. Good job.

I searched the git clone and found only
fonts/10-Artwiz-Snap.bdf

I found "convbdf" in the git clone and it solved the problem. I must have followed the same trail when I did the raspberry pi five years ago, but I have no memory of it

Thanks

Sorry, I forgot about the rule about no tech support. Moving. Deleting the thread is OK with me.
