iPod 5.5 gen + iFlash Quad with 1Tb Huawei SDXC card (files won't appear)

Hi!
I have a set up of iPod 5.5 gen and iFlash Quad with 1Tb Huawei SDXC card. I installed Rockbox with Rockbox utility (SD card was formatted beforehand). When I drag and drop files from computer to iPod through Disc mod and check for them in Rockbox, they won't appear there.
However, when I do the same with SanDisk SDHC for 16 Gb, everything works fine. I have used 1Tb card with Apple firmware, it worked ok, some songs skipped all the time though. Could you please advise, is there a limitation for SD card size for iFlash adaptor or something? What could possibly cause this problem? Thanks for your kind help!

search the forums more and you'll find multiple people complaining about the same thing.

IMO forget about using SD cards, they just don't match up to CF/SATA drives

Are they an iflash quad and an iflash dual?  Or is he testing the ssd option?

These glitches seem to depend very much on both the card size and brand, as to whether they show up or not.

I've got an iFlash Solo and mSATA. Currently I've only been working with the Solo.

Also, I've only got an ipod6g to test on.

My working theory right now is incorrect timings in the ATA driver, but we'll see.

I think at a minimum it would be great to identify third party adapters (as opposed to the stock disk) and have different timings for each.  At least for some of the older iPods, the built in 1.8" drives could have some strange settings IIRC.

Agreed, and throwing my hat into this ring, my iPod Video with its SSD performs very slowly at times (slow reads of files and loading into audio buffer). Same applies to my H320 with its SSD.

If Rockbox could identify a PATA SSD at boot and adjust its timings accordingly, this could help boost performance on one. The drives I use are true PATA drives, but Rockbox still uses the same timings as platter HDDs, which partially defeats the purpose.

Would be brilliant if progress were made on this.  It would, for one thing, make 6th gen (classic 80gb+fat 160gb+120gb) ipods more viable for flash conversions.   Might also make it less restrictive in what brand/size of card one risks using.

I have the impression that the issues/problems are significantly different for SSD ipods and SD card ipods.

One effect is it can cause problems with building the database.

Could he be using a fake card with reprogrammed micro-controller ?

I tested mines (Samsung 256GB) with h2testw before using in iflash quad.
