e280r vs clip+ Sound Quality? What's better?
« on: October 12, 2019, 03:14:56 PM »
New to this Rockbox thing. Mainly looking for/using older cheaper mp3 players with massive potential for microsd card expansion as I got a ton of 200gb cards on clearance

What's the audio quality difference between units like the e280r and clip+?

I know of the clips, clip+ still has the best DAC chip and allows for microsd expansion which is further expanded by rockbox but is e280r worse? I also read that a stronger power also produces better sound that the stronger battery/device offers.

Thanks in advance.

E200r has some hiss, so clip is noticably better.

"stronger power" does not matter.
