Rockboxed ipod video not working with HRT Istreamer

Hi all, I recently modded my ipod with an iflash solo running a 128gb sd card. I installed rockbox which works fine but I can't get it to work with my istreamer dac. If you are not familiar with the dac, the procedure to connect is that the ipod must be off and then connected to the istreamer before power is connected to the istreamer. The problem is when the ipod cable is connected to the dac, the ipod wakes up and then the dac won't pair with it because it is already on. Does anyone know if there is a way to isolate this usb function in rockbox so that it functions more like the apple os. It works fine if I boot up in apple os. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't use an external DAC with rockbox.

Thanks for the reply. That's unfortunate as I really like the platform but once you've used an external dac instead of the headphone jack you'd never go back. Looks like it's back to itunes for me. Cheers.
