Toshiba F40.
« on: October 06, 2019, 01:08:28 PM »
Hi All.
I just found my  Toshiba F40. I updated Rockbox. Any song I try to play, I get file not found. The songs play when I hook the player to my computer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Are you using the file browser to play the files?

I don't think so.   Just playing from the main screen.  I just tried playing from the file explorer. It finds the tracks but only plays 8-12 seconds of a song.

The Main Menu has the following entries:

*Files
*Database
*Now Playing/Resume Playback
*Settings
*Playlists
*Plugins
*System

The primary ways of starting music playback are either through the file browser (browsing the contents of the HD) or the database (containing metadata scanned from your media files).

It sounds like you are having problems with both methods.  Try a file system check first.  It's possible that a damaged file system is causing these problems.
