Replay gain issue
« on: January 02, 2021, 08:28:43 AM »
I have a problem with replay gain. My player is ipod6g with vanilla dev build (10e2f53ff5) and use opus file with replaygain ( used f2k to scan replay gain ).

1. I turn on replay gain, when i try to change preamp in replaygain settings from any value ( 0db, -6db, 6db, etc) does not change the volume output.
2. When i turn off replay gain, the effect still remain unless i remove replaygain value from tags.

i can attach a file if needed.

Could you post your config.cfg file?

Is replaygain being applied to your files at all?  The replaygain preamp only applies if replaygain is applied.  I think foobar2000 writes r128 tags rather than replaygain, and unfortunately we still don't support r128.

Also random note:  you have some EQ filters which both overlap and apply tiny (1dB) adjustments.  That isn't ideal for battery life, although it won't be too bad on your player due to fast CPU.
