Rockbox Ports are now being developed for various digital audio players!
Quote from: Julian67 on June 05, 2023, 08:29:37 PMI there any possibility that Rockbox core could ever support 24/32-bit audio?Possibility? Of course. But it's not terribly likely at the moment; only a handful of the players have hardware that supports it, and need to implement in a way that doesn't bloat things for 16-bit-only players, and there's not exactly a lot of folks contributing code. Or contributing much of anything, really.

I've got few measurements for digital filters and DAC power mode illustrations.Test signal is local file generated in REW software. 4kHz square signal, 192k sample rate, PCM24.
I'm just asking because I have no idea: Would a change from 16-bit to 24 or 32-bit be a huge upheaval? Would it be impossible to do without dropping support for 16-bit players? Technical query, not a feature request!

please repost Vortex's build here
I found one bug, however. The left-right balance does not work for me. Volume in both headphones is turned down instead of just one side.
That's very odd as it works fine on mine. I've just checked and there's no problem. Actually I have two Rockboxed M3Ks and they both work as expected.
May I ask what versions you guys are running?Mine works ok but I haven't updated it since 2022 I think.Ver: ab71b9e334-220428
