I wonder if you might have "Album Art" from this somewhat recent change set to "Prefer Image File": https://gerrit.rockbox.org/r/c/rockbox/+/3973

If you want to try changing the value of that option in the newer build, it's under Settings -> Playback Settings -> Album Art, options are Off, Prefer Embedded, and Prefer Image File.

I did try the options in the "Album Art" setting but it didn't solve the problem.

This should be fixed in the latest build

I had the tag position off by 6 in my latest patches to the parser

"panic" on any file (or folder) if i try to delete it, cancel, and try to delete it again.
