please help - I install rockbox to my ipod classic and lots of problems

I installed rockbox to my ipod classic, and it was going good. Then I built the database, and it restarts and says 'committing database 1 of 9' and every time it gets to about 4 of 9 it says low battery charging and restarts, and this is while it is plugged into my laptop with usb... what do I have to do to get this thing charging?? edit - I realized my ipod has a bad battery. so nm i guess

Long database build time often means there is some problem with the storage device.  In that case you might want to use the file system rather than database.
