[BRICKED] Sony NWZ-E383

did use this player without issues for a month. today i just plugged it in to USB2 in order to copy some mp3 to a PC (read-only). all went fine and i left it charging after the copy operation.

suddenly i see that the black and white screen which shows battery status got distorted/broken/partially readable. i unplugged it and started to press buttons. no response. so i pressed RESET. the screen went black/off.

now the player does not respond to any buttons or RESET and also is off when i plug it in to an USB charger.

i think i have got a brick now. is there anything i can do?
