Browsing FILES not working!

On my Sansa Clip Zip, that I have been using for many many months, all of a sudden, when I try to browse the "FILES", nothing happens.

Otherwise going to through recent bookmarks, there is no problem playing bookmarked items.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try deleting the config.cfg file from the .rockbox folder on your device.

I used the utility to reinstall rockbox. That didn't help.

Then I deleted the .cfg file. That seemed to have helped, until the next reboot, and the problem came back.

Bilgus:
How many files are on the device?
Are you using an SD card, How many files are on the SD card?

ericycle:
There used to be a lot of files on the external SD card. I then deleted all of them and added not that many. Then I reinstalled Rockbox using the utility.

Now I once more deleted the .cfg file, but none of this seems to help. The right button itself works fine, but doesn't respond most of the time when trying to browse FILES. Although every once in a while it does respond unexpectedly.
