How quickly can Rockbox fast-forward?
« on: November 23, 2018, 03:12:04 PM »
One of the killer features of the iPod's I've owned has been the ability to quickly jump to specific points in longer tracks using the wheel.

I've seen that Rockbox includes accelerating fast-forward. How quickly could a player running Rockbox fast-forward to, say, hour 3 of a 4 hour mp3 file? Does it depend on the hardware being used?

Thanks in advance!

It scales with the length of the file and is configurable in settings. Not sure about a 4 hour file, you could test in the uisimulator.
