Kernel Panic on ipod photo after unplugging from pc

I just modded an iPod photo with an sd card adapter, but have been having a horrible time trying to get it to work. The device wont load any applications or music, and will hang after unplugging it from my pc. The original firmware works just fine, any ideas?

Rockbox 3.14
Ipod Photo
64 GB Sd card

I suspect it is an iFlash adapter, right?. These adapters don't work well with Rockbox.

Frankenpod:
Those (the generic ones) are actually worse.  The iFlash ones tend to have fewer compatibility issues (but still aren't 100% compatible with Rockbox).  Not sure how the iPod Photo differs from the Video and Classic in that respect, my guess would be the issues are the same.
