Recommendation for portable player with quick fast forward and inline controls

Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a new portable player with the following features (with Rockbox installed or not):

-Ability to quickly fast forward up to a few hours. Older iPods used to do this easily, but I see that some players on the market now can only fast forward at, say 8x. I'd love to be able to jump several hours into a file within a few seconds.

-Ability to use inline controls to at least play/pause playback (via corded headphone with play/pause button.)

Rockbox has accelerating ff/rwd and allows you to set the minimum step and the acceleration speed of ff/rwd. I assume this works on any rockbox player.
