Well, drat.  Can you try one more for me:

 https://www.shaftnet.org/~pizza/ipodvideo-test6.zip

If this doesn't work, there's yet another failure mode in play.  Sigh.

This one seems to be working. The 1gb of test files that the other versions had failed on has transferred correctly. It will take a while to transfer and verify my collection so I'll post again tomorrow and let you know how that goes.

Thanks for your help.

I have one more:

 https://www.shaftnet.org/~pizza/ipodvideo-test7.zip

This should be functionally equivalent to -test6, but with the new behavior disabled for non-SSDs.

If that works well I'll see if I can find folks with non-modded devices to test it out too.

Okay, the power management fixes are now merged, and builds are being generated now.  No reported regressions on unmodded hardware (mini2g, 4g greyscale, 5g video) and SSD-modded hardware appears to be vastly improved.

Hopefully this is the end of the filash issues, at least on the <6g stuff.

WinMerge reports 180gb of transferred files are identical to source. Thanks so much for taking the time to address this.

Will this also work&improve 5/5.5G models?

I have an SSD modded ipod and have encountered problems with file transfer. As a result, I usually load my ipod via the original software. However, I still have an issue with large flac files. Have any of you encountered this? I would be very interested in any pointers as to how to calculate the maximum file size so I can split up my files accordingly.

It appears that stable 3.15 is fine for the iPod Classic 6th gen with the iFlash Solo. I'll stick with that since it's stable.

3.15 does not work with flash adapters (see rest of this thread), so this is not a good idea.
