I tried with one the latest daily build for Ipod Mini 2g. File playback now seems to work. But when initialising the DB I get this error. It will then fail to boot once and then successfully boot.

That smells like a DB bug to me.

You were right! There's one mp3 it crashes on. Can't see any errors with the file or why that would be. This is on the dev build, stable just crashes when trying to update the DB even without the problem file.

I'm glad to hear it's working a lot better.  That said, even b0rked files shouldn't cause the DB engine to crash.  Can you create a bug in our tracker and attach the mp3 file?

How did you identify this one file to be corrupt?
