iPod only played first 10/20 seconds of a song before skipping to next track

Evening everyone :)

I am running
iPod: Classic Video
Version: b69faf0-181112
Hard Drive: 4 sd cards as the drive.

So far I can only see one error with the setup and that is that, after playing songs for around 15 seconds give or take, it will skip to the next song. I have tested by plugging the iPod directly into a machine and then played the songs that are causing errors and every plays as expected.

Are there any tips or tricks I could do to try to avoid this problem?

This is a common problem when using iflash adapters.  You may need to use the Apple firmware.

Ah... Not surprisingly then, they neglect to tell you this on their website.

I very much want to play flacs, not MP3's so using apple firmware is an option with rockbox?
