Database slow
« on: November 06, 2018, 01:11:04 AM »
I'm using Rockbox on an iPod Video 80G 5.5G.
I find that when I search 'tracks' it takes forever to find results. Sometimes it even freezes on zero when it's finding tracks.
If I go into album artist and then 'all songs' it works fine, but if I go straight to 'tracks', that's when I start to have problems.
DirCache is on and so is Load to RAM. I haven't toyed with the EQ settings at all.

Am I doing something wrong or is it a problem with Rockbox or the iPod itself not being able to handle a large amount of songs?

Thanks. Apologies if this is in the wrong section of the forum. I dunno where to ask this.

The iPod Video has a slow CPU compared to the Classic. So the responsiveness is not so good.
