Clip+ power on paused when used in car
« on: September 04, 2018, 08:54:00 AM »
Similar to threads some 7 years old now, I'm hoping to find a way for my Clip+ to power on with playback paused.

My Clip+ is set so that Car Mode is off, Automatic Resume is off. I felt that these settings would do what I wanted but they haven't.

I have a 2012 Ford Focus with keyless start. Locking/Unlocking the car is by remote only. When I use the remote to unlock the car and get in, the cars accessory system/USB socket is live. Therefore the Clip+ powers on to the WPS and starts playback from where I last paused it. No problem there usually, as long as I start the car and drive off. However there are many occasions when I unlock the car and don't start the car e.g. cleaning the car, doing something under the bonnet/hood, accessing the boot/trunk area. So in my case I'd prefer to be able to set the Clip+ to power on to the WPS with playback paused and then press play before driving off.

Is this possible? Have I overlooked a setting?

TIA

Thanks Bilgus. Great to know you've a workaround. I've no developer or programming knowledge I'm afraid, so I'd very much appreciate a compiled version and how to apply it please.

Your help is much appreciated.  ;)
