My Sansa Clip+ just broke …

My trusty Sansa Clip+ which was running Rockbox since the first day just stopped working during a short walk. In two weeks I’ll go on cycling vacation so the need for a replacement is quite urgent. But after some time googling current devices and their compatibility my mood has dropped considerably.

Sadly, the device chart hasn’t grown noticably since the last time I had to make an informed buying decision :/ I’m not interested in fancy displays, the properties that matter are -- apart from the capability of running Rockbox, of course -- weight and size. None of the devices on the list that are still being manufactured in 2017 are particularly convincing in either criterion while used (!) Sansa Clip+ are being offered on Amazon for EUR 140, much more than what I paid for a new one back then.

Am I screwed? What’s my best option?

Sadly, you have to buy used because none of the rockbox supported hardware is sold new anymore, unless of course you want to pay 3x the MSRP.
