iPod 6th Generation ATA Error

A fresh install of Rockbox on this iPod, and I keep getting this error for some reason...

Rockbox boot loader
Version: 1.0
Battery status ok: 3728 mV
ATA error: -2147483645

Hold MENU+SELECT to reboot
then SELECT+PLAY for disk mode
As of right now, my solution is to keep restarting until I can get into RB. I have noticed that I have better luck when the iPod is connected to power. Is there any way I can keep from getting this error every time I start up without power?
