iFlash-Quad and Ipod classic 6G stability issues?

I have an ipod classic 6G 80GB with rockbox installed and I've been thinking of getting an iFlash-Quad and a battery upgrade, I know there's a limit with the 6Gs to 128GB but I figured you could get around it by using rockbox (correct me if i'm wrong). However, when I messaged about the iFlash-Quad and Ipod 6G I was told that there are stability issues, can anyone tell me more about the issues and if there's any way to get around it?
