Transfer FLAC into iPod 5.5 in disk mode

I just got a diyMOD iPod 5.5 with a iFlash dual. 
I restored the iPod with iTunes on Windows.  Then I installed rockbox through RockBox Utility. 
I’m using Swinsian as player app on my mac and I cannot transfer FLAC files into my iPod and I don’t want to trascode them to ALAC. 
I read it here the best way to transfer FLAC files is through ‘disk mode’.  I have no idea how to go into disk mode. ELI5?
