Rockbox General > Rockbox General Discussion
New DAP suggestions plz :)
puturus:
First, thank you very much for the replies ^^
I was slightly more decided for the rocker, as i like better how it looks and is a bit cheaper than the xduo.
But you (Duceboia) saying it's another planet, then i shall reconsider..
Battery lasts "forever" how much is that? :P
Is its rockbox port stable?
And besides this two, are there any other good DAPs within my price range that can run rockbox that i should consider?
PS: i need rockbox because i need balancing the audio in my headphones (i hear less with my right ear) but maybe there's some player that has this function in original firmware...
Thanks again <3

Yeah, I don't really disagree. It's a plain ol' player, and it doesn't feel super sturdy. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't hold up as long as my beloved Clips did.
BUT.
It works, Rockbox runs on it, the screen is nice, AND it's still in production. We're not trying to scrounge used and refurb off of eBay: you can totally buy one new, no problem. That's a pretty nice quality right there.
Duceboia:
Xduuo battery lasts some 35 hrs against the 6 hours of the Rocker.
Be sure to take account of the 2 microsd ports of Xduuo.... I have atm a 128 and a 200 ALL my music library in MP3 V0... with headroom. I have first version of x3 the one wich is simpler to install Rockbox with dual-boot, some possessor of newer version reports no dualboot ability. Original software plays HD files (no resample of 24bits / 96khz flacs) in case you have some portable dac-amp may be of interest!
Rockbox is more than STABLE in xduuo... I'm usin it almost daily in the last 2 years and 1/2 without a problem.
Another feature is Surround in sound settings... in agptek they don't works!
I have a Sansa Fuze+, a 5th gen video iPod but x3 is MY player of choice.
Duceboia:
I've bought iPod 5th on ebay for 15€... tarkan adapter so I am free of disk failure...
Another 128'gb sd.... great player too.
Duceboia:
Oh and sorry, but i'm remembering now... the Rocker has no "true" gapless playback... once in a while you hear sone noise.. disturbing pops, Loud pops, especially on manual track change or when you start to play... I say a LOUD noise. With Headphones i feel that tollerable, not so with IEMS! This thingy is really disturbing when I play music out the Rocker to stereo amp... NO More ext play from Rocker.
