Does any player have bluetooth while using Rockbox?
« on: July 18, 2018, 01:09:41 AM »
I googled 75% of the players listed under stable and none have bluetooth capabilities. Do any DAP’s that are able to run Rockbox have bluetooth capabilities WHILE using Rockbox?

I’m in the market for a pocketable MP3 that is smaller than a phone and can satisfactorily handle my ripped CD library. I’d love to use Rockbox, but I have to be able to use my truly-wireless bluetooth earbuds, because of specific daily exercises.

Literally any player is fine under $500, do any DAP’s have bluetooth with Rockbox running?
Thanks!

An alternative is to use a separate Bluetooth transmitter plugged into your player of choice.  The one I have is about the size of a Nano.  One thing to note is that you cannot control playback using the Bluetooth remote controls doing it this way.

I did look into that, but even Nano sized would be an annoying extra dongle in my pocket. There is one with a very tiny footprint from KOKKIA, but it is only for ipods (which aren’t my preference) and I’m unsure if that device even works with Rockbox.

Using my 6g i was able to use the cheaper ebay plug in transmitter and it worked great but without any bluetooth controls.
I also tried the Kokkia transmitter with so success. Does not work at the moment. Hoping for some help.
