iPod classic 6th Gen LBA28 how to exceed 128gb limit?

You'll have problems syncing if you only boot rockbox.

Essentially that particular logic board can't usefully be used with a larger drive (other than the dual-platter CE-ATA160gb the 6th gen originally came with, as cereal_killer says)

One reason I opted for flash memory is the faster speeds and significantly lower battery consumption. Not to mention with the flash adapter, I can maintain the same slim profile with a larger battery

Ahh, that sucks.

Oh well. With rockbox should I expect better sound quality using the same source files?
