Noob with a Creative Zen Micro 5gb

Hi All.

I am a complete noob so be gentle

I have an old Creative Zen micro (the touch pad one) with 5gb storage. I know i can upgrade this to a CF card but wanted to up the memory to 16 or 32gb.

Is this possible with Rockbox or stock firmware?

I know the physical changes are simple but i suspect its the firmware that limits the memory.

Cheers for any help. I know these things are getting long in the tooth but as someone that worked on these as a designer (I used to work for Synaptics) a big part of me cant get excited about music on my phone which already has a pathetic battery life!

There is no port of rockbox to the Zen micro.

Don't think this has anything really to do with Rockbox, but I don't see an obvious reason why it wouldn't work with the original firmware.  The only way to find out might be to try it.

Have you googled for anyone else's experiences with it?

Google immediately produced these ancient threads, which suggests some people at least have gotten it working.  But I would suspect it might depend on the precise cf adaptor and cf card used.
