Sansa Clip+ stopped working
(1/1)
jfs:
I have Rockbox on a Sansa Clip+
The player stopped working. I got a message "*Panic* usb-drv-epo completion while waiting for setup". Either that or I would get "rock 4.0" This happened after listening to audio files for an hour the other day.
I looked through the NET and couldn't find a solution.
I took a look at the player in GParted and it had a loop for a partion. and there were 4 partitions: hdd1-4. I reformatted the player and reinstalled my files and reinstalled Rockbox 3.14 and the latest firmware for the player.
Now when I boot the player I get: "Loading firmware file not found. Plug USB cable".
I have had Rockbox on my player for a couple weeks with no problems until this.
How would I fix this problem?
Bilgus:
I'm not sure about the 4 partitions thats ODD
as far as the firmware file not found at least the bootloader is working so while off plug it into your pc and try just putting rockbox.sansa from the zip file in the root of the drive
So if the Player is Drive N: then drop Rockbox.sansa you'll end up with N:\Rockbox.sansa
Beyond that its probably flash corruption and you should get the multiboot bootloader on there asap
so you have the possibility of running Rockbox from your sdcard if it fails

I installed the multiboot bootloader. It seems to be working OK. I'm not entirely understanding how this works. I have 2 entries in files: microSD0 microSD1. The clppa.bin is in the Internal storage; if the flash on the Clip+ goes will I still be able to boot into the SD Card?

this is a sandisk issue!
I am having the same issue - my clip+ totally stopped working. Resetting has not worked, nor has leaving it plugged in to my computer for days. I have been trying to get in touch with Sansa to organise a return (I bought it in May) but have had no response - any ideas folks?
I love my clip+ but am disappointed at not being able to use it and am not getting any customer service...

You bought a clip+ in may of 2017? This player has been out of production for quite a while for sure longer than the warranty period
