Mysterious undocumented playlist menu - bug?
bascule:
Been playing with my 'new' H120 and Rockbox in the hope that it provides the functionality (esp. wrt playlists) that I have on my Karma, before that beloved device either dies, fries or says goodbye...
Although initially unintuitive (as with Rockbox in general, I feel), I think I've got the hang of playlisting, but I have found a mysterious menu that, despite searching the site and the manual and reading a number of posts on here, have not been able to identify.
H120
CVS-060630
File Browser mode
From WPS
Hold for context menu
Choose menu options Playlist>View Current Playlist
Press [A-B] for a menu with the following options:
Show Icons
Show Indicies
Track Display
Save Current Playlist
I can't navigate to this any other way that I've found, but the menu options seem to work with the exception of 'Show Indicies', which appears to do nothing different whether I select Yes or No.
Any ideas, should I report it as a bug? :-\
I was hoping someone could test it on a more recent build... ;)

"Show Indicies" works, with "yes" you get the number on what place the file is in the directory.
But "Show Icons" doesnt work right. It shows only the icon for the first file in the playlist.

OK, I'll check that out

I think in a playlist, that is by design, as it shows the currently playing song.
If you wait, you will see the icon move to the next song as the track changes :)
Course, this still doesn't explain the existence of this menu that seems to live in a parallel universe :)

Thanks to bluebrother for raising this as a bug:

I think this menu has been there for a long time (I was in there once a couple of months back) and the people who write the manual haven't noticed it yet.
My prediction is, that with this thread, it gets added to the manual in a few days.
