lrcplayer manual scroll control on ipod video

I've been pretty successful modifying Themes to my liking but one thing that I cannot find any info on, is how to modify actual app binaries like lrcplayer.

I have Lyrics embeded to 70% of my files and using a tag to tell me on WPS if Lyrics are there or not. I made lrcplayer atop shortcuts so launching it is a breeze. I worked out the layout of the lrcplayer to where to fonts are easy to read and all that is good. But, the lrcplayer only allows for automatic scrolling which is a best guess given that I don't have a chance to put time tags in lyrics. What I would like to do, is to have manual control (like in stock Ipod firmware) where I can scroll up and down thru the song. If I click on the middle button in lrcplayer it allows me to edit the lyrics and I can sort of scroll but is not working for long lines and also the text color is lost so not easy to read.

Searching the forum and google did not yield anything on this. What would I need to do to get the LRCPlayer source code modified or is there any option to get done what I am after
