iPod Classic 3rd installation problem

I have had my ipod classic 3rd gen installed rockbox both on Mac and Win7 with GUI or manual, however they both having the same problems that after install completed, the ipod having Rockbox running in there but it is so BRIGHT, that you almost could not seeing anything in there. Please point me out, what did i missing during installation. Thanks! Kev.
