Undeletable files on Sansa Clip+

(1/2) > >>

codyteam:
Please help! After formatting my Sansa Clip+ there is some files that I am unable to delete. I tried to reformat it which did not work and I cannot add any files ether. I used my Chromebook to format it and my Sansa Clip+ will only boot to the OF but Most of the time I have to hard reset it A LOT to make it work but USB bootloader mode DOES NOT work and as said before I have to use the OF to modify files via USB.

Bilgus:
what files exactly are left that you can't delete?

You say in the OF you can add files via USB?

Your drive may be corrupted.. and really formatting shouldn't have wiped out rockbox..

You may try upgrading to the multiboot bootloader while you still have a chance copy the .bin to the device root
that way if it all goes to hell you still have a working device

Another option might be to restore the whole drive but you would need to put the device in recovery mode which involves taking it apart also You will need a linux pc or at least a Linux VM I'm not sure about using the chromebook

Here's a Screenshot of all the files I cannot delete and I cannot add anything ether.

Bilgus:
the only file that shouldn't be there is #roms for gb, version.sdk, and photo. Its quite possible that your device has gone read-only but I don't want to say that for sure till you try a device other than the chromebook. My thought is the chromebook is just any other computer but I think you should rule it out first

codyteam:
Well is it possible that I could use a Mac computer to format it?

(Edit):#Roms for Gameboy was the folder I used to put Gameboy roms for rockboy,Photo was all my family photos I have and Version.SDK was the file made by the OF.
