COWON Plenue D

the hardware is realy great and i do love it. however, the firmware does leave something to be desired. the buttons are small (if only it had a 3x3 grid) and it doesnt have any bookmark funktion. it was so much better with rockbox.

so... any chance this great little dap ever gets rockboxed?

Depends on what is inside it, but assuming someone were interested in working on it and the hardware isn't extremely limited it is probably possible.

hum, all i found was: "The Cowon Plenue D is powered by a TCC7901 SoC from Telechips and it is paired with a Wolfson WM8998 as its DAC component"
not sure if that helps tho, it certainly does not help me.
anyway... i think it was great if rockbox would support newer players. plenue d would make such a nice target, being small with great battery and having an sd card slot.

That is the CPU, and it is a reasonable target, although not one we currently support.

People work on the devices they have.  That one is pretty obscure, so maybe not the most likely device, but you're welcome to work on it.
